Now, if the question is all about detecting the object in the above image , you don’t need that high resolution image, you just need a scaled down version.

That is what PCA is , you just want to focus on attributes which are required to answer the question and drop all other attributes.

However, if you question would have been detect the number of spokes in the wheel, then we should not do what we did above.
